Accessibility of Ukrainian online shops: 2026 ranking

We automatically checked the home pages of well-known Ukrainian online shops for accessibility problems against WCAG 2.2 level A and AA: can a person using a screen reader, only a keyboard or with low vision use them. Below are each shop's score, the most common problems and how we counted.

This is an automated check, not a full audit, and not legal advice. Automated tests find only part of accessibility problems; the rest needs a manual review.

How we checked

• Selection. Large and well-known Ukrainian online shops from different categories: electronics, fashion, groceries, pharmacies, books, home. It is an editorial selection, not a traffic ranking. Shops owned by companies from Russia or Belarus are not included.
• What we checked. Only the home page, in a regular Chromium browser without signing in, with the same rules as the weekly Pandus check (axe-core). Only the required WCAG 2.2 A and AA criteria count; recommendations and AAA do not.
• Score from 0 to 100. We subtract points from 100 for every rule the page fails, by severity: critical −15, serious −8, moderate −3, minor −1. How often the same problem repeats does not change the score, so a long page is not punished for its length. The same score gives the same place.
• Could not be checked. Some shops show an automated browser a "are you a robot" check or an error page. We do not score them and list them separately.

What the score means and what it does not

A high score does not mean that everyone can use the site with ease: automated tests do not check whether texts are clear, whether the Tab order is logical or whether an order can be placed. A low score means there are barriers already on the home page that are easy to find and usually not hard to fix. Every problem is explained in the rule library.

For shops selling to customers in the EU, accessibility became a requirement of the European Accessibility Act, which does not apply to everyone: see who the EAA applies to.
