Pandus SDK documentation
How to add the Pandus SDK to a site, pass consent, send events, read the data and what the SDK collects. For developers and agencies.
Updated:
The Pandus SDK is one script with modules that a site owner adds with one line of code. After the visitor agrees, it shows your team where real visitors meet accessibility barriers, how they use the site, how fast it is and where they get frustrated. It feeds one list of what to fix first together with the weekly scanner, the browser extension and barrier reports.
<script async src="https://pandus.online/embed.js" data-site="YOUR_SITE_TOKEN"></script>
Modules
| Module | What it does | Consent category |
|---|---|---|
barriers |
Anonymous barrier signals: trapped or invisible focus, unlabelled controls, unannounced form errors, broken reflow | Analytics and accessibility barriers |
live_axe |
axe-core on a small sample of real page states (open dialogs, cart, account) | Analytics and accessibility barriers |
analytics |
Events, sessions, sources, conversions, funnels, e-commerce, Web Vitals, frustration, heatmap data | Analytics and accessibility barriers |
recordings |
Session recordings with rrweb, all text and fields masked | Session recordings |
The loader is about 5 KB gzip and loads asynchronously. It fetches the site's settings and loads a module only when your plan and settings switch it on, and only after consent. The same snippet also shows the optional “Report a barrier” button and the link to your accessibility page.
Where to start
- Install the SDK and confirm your domain.
- Decide how the visitor's choice reaches the SDK: consent.
- Read what is collected and how it is protected.
- Send your own events with the JavaScript API, or define events without code.
- If something does not show up, use debug mode.
What you see in the dashboard
- What to fix first and live barriers: one ranked list from four sources, problem cards, the health index, weekly digest and alerts.
- Analytics: realtime, traffic, sources, pages, events, conversions, funnels, paths, retention, audience, e-commerce, the report builder, alerts, the API and CSV export.
- Behaviour: heatmaps, session recordings with a keyboard player, frustration, speed and JavaScript errors.
- Browser extension: live data on top of your own site, events by pointing at an element, live axe.
- For agencies: the portfolio, client links, SDK blocks in white-label reports and demo mode.
- MCP server: Pandus data in Claude, Cursor and other AI assistants.
The SDK comes with the Pro and Agency plans; limits per plan are listed in the reference. The product overview is on the SDK page.
The Pandus SDK and the scanner are automated checks, not a full audit, and not legal advice. The SDK changes nothing on your site and does not determine which visitors use assistive technology.
