Debugging and troubleshooting

Turn on debug mode, watch the live event stream from one device, and fix the usual reasons why the Pandus SDK shows no data.

Updated:

Debug mode

Open any page of your site with ?pandus_debug=1. The SDK stays in debug mode for that browser tab until it is closed, and SDK → Debug shows the live stream of events from that device, like GA4 DebugView: every event with its parameters, the consent state and warnings (an unknown parameter, personal data dropped, a quota reached).

https://your-site.example/?pandus_debug=1

Debug events are shown for an hour and are never counted or stored. The browser extension turns debug mode on with one click.

No data in the dashboard

Reason What to do
Nobody agreed yet Accept the banner yourself in a private window. Nothing is sent before consent.
You test while signed in to Pandus Staff visits are never counted. Use a private window.
The domain is not confirmed Finish the check in SDK → Install.
Another domain or subdomain Add it to the domains in SDK → Settings.
CSP blocks the script or the requests Allow pandus.online in script-src and pandus.online e.pandus.online in connect-src.
An ad blocker in your browser Test in another browser; for orders use server events.
A consent tool that the SDK does not read Pass the choice with pandus('consent', …).
The monthly quota is reached See Limits.

An event does not show up

  • Check the name: snake_case, starting with a letter, up to 40 characters.
  • Parameters with personal-looking text are dropped; debug mode shows a warning.
  • pandus() calls do nothing before analytics consent.
  • Events appear in reports within a minute; realtime refreshes every 15 seconds.

Recordings do not appear

Recordings need a separate “recordings” consent, the behaviour module switched on, a session inside the sample and a page that is not excluded.

Still stuck

Write to us from Contact with the page address and what you see in debug mode.

The Pandus SDK and the scanner are automated checks, not a full audit, and not legal advice. The SDK changes nothing on your site and does not determine which visitors use assistive technology.
