Pandus

Pandus vs UserWay

UserWay sells an accessibility widget — a script that offers personalisation settings to visitors and applies automated remediation in the browser — together with page monitoring, audits and VPATs. Pandus does not add anything to your site: it checks every page every week and explains, in plain words, what to fix in the theme and content.

What UserWay offers

  • A visible widget. Visitors get personalisation settings, and the Pro Plus plan adds live translations into more than 50 languages.
  • Monitoring and services in one place. Page monitoring, audits and VPATs can be bought from the same vendor.
  • Part of a larger company. Since March 2024 UserWay belongs to Level Access.

Where Pandus is different

  • Fixes in the code, not on top of it. A widget does not change the HTML that screen readers, search engines and other tools read. Pandus tells you where the problem sits in the theme or content so that it is fixed for everyone. Our reasoning is in why overlays are not a solution.
  • Every page, not a page quota. Plans check the whole site every week and show what is new since the last check.
  • Reports in your client's language. English, Ukrainian, German, Polish, Czech, Romanian or Russian, written for the owner.
  • Agencies. White-label reports for 10, 25 or 50 client sites at published prices.
  • Honest limits. Pandus is an automated check, not a full audit, and not legal advice; we do not sell litigation support.

If you already use the UserWay widget

You can keep it while you fix the site. Run a free check of the key pages, fix the critical and serious problems in the theme first, then test by hand with our WCAG 2.2 checklist. Other options are listed in alternatives to accessiBe and other overlays; all comparisons are on Pandus compared.
