Add your first site and run a check

Updated October 14, 2026

Add a site

  1. Open Sites in your account and click Add a site.
  2. Enter the address of the home page. You can give the site a name, pick the platform it runs on (Shopify, WooCommerce, PrestaShop and many others) and choose the language of the report. The platform decides which fixing instructions the report shows.
  3. Confirm. The first check starts at once and you can watch its progress on the site page: first the pages of the site are found, then each one is checked.

A small site is ready in a minute or two; a large one takes longer. You do not have to wait on the page: when the check ends, the report is sent by e-mail to the team members who keep report e-mails on.

What is checked

Every page is opened in a real browser and tested with the open axe-core engine against the WCAG 2.2 success criteria of levels A and AA. Each problem found is explained in plain words: what is wrong, whom it affects and how to fix it.

How many pages are checked depends on your plan. The Free plan checks one page once; paid plans check the pages of the site every week. The limits of each plan are on the pricing page.

What is not checked

An automated check finds only part of the accessibility problems. It cannot tell whether a text alternative is meaningful, whether a page makes sense with a screen reader or whether the keyboard order is logical. It is not a full audit and not legal advice. Treat a clean result as a starting point and use the free tools and a manual review for the rest.

Next steps

Open the report and start with the section What to fix first. Weekly checks begin automatically after the first one.
