The ACR draft: what it is and how to complete it
Updated October 14, 2026
What you get
An Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR, filled in on the VPAT form) is the document that buyers, especially in the USA, ask for in procurement. Pandus prepares a draft from a finished check. The ACR draft comes with Agency plans.
Open a finished report, go to Tools for this check and click ACR draft. The page lists every WCAG 2.2 success criterion of levels A and AA with the result of the automated check:
- Automated failures found: the check found problems for this criterion, listed with the number of elements and pages.
- No automated failures found: the check tests part of the criterion and found nothing.
- Not testable automatically: only a person can judge it, for example whether a text alternative is meaningful.
Findings that cannot be matched to a criterion are listed under Other automated findings.
A person completes it
The automated result is never turned into a conformance level. "No failures found" does not mean Supports. For every criterion a person chooses one of the VPAT terms (Supports, Partially supports, Does not support, Not applicable, Not evaluated) and may add remarks. The counter shows how many criteria were Evaluated by a person. Click Save the draft; unsaved changes are flagged.
Members, admins and owners can fill it in; viewers can read it. The entries belong to this check, so a later check starts a new draft.
Download
Choose the Language of the document and download HTML or PDF. Save your changes first, because the files contain what is saved. Every file carries the notice: draft based on an automated check, not a VPAT/ACR until a person has evaluated every criterion, not legal advice.
Before you send it to a buyer
Have a qualified person test the site by hand, with a keyboard and a screen reader, and review the draft with your lawyer. Do not call the document an ACR or a VPAT before every criterion has been evaluated.
